How to Get Olivia Palermo’s 3 VBB Megawatt Eye Looks

“I always feel like she appreciates the process and artistry behind each look,” says makeup artist Andrea Tiller of creating distinctive designs for her client and friend Olivia Palermo. “She gives me the artistic freedom, and I feel that’s when any artist’s best work comes forward.” Palermo employed Tiller to create three distinctive looks using Victoria Beckham Beauty’s eye and lip collection for a myriad of events on her packed social calendar. “The most fun part was discovering the collection as the products had just launched.”

For a cocktail party hosted by Balmain and Saks Fifth Avenue, Tiller and Palermo focused on adding a touch of sparkle to a smoky eye. Palermo’s one-note look was the perfect ensemble to truly let the Tiller’s work shine. “We always love a good eye moment,” says Tiller who used the Satin Kajal Liner in Black, the Lid Lustre in Onyx, and the Lip Definer in Shade No. 01.

Building off of this look when Palermo attended a private dinner, Tiller focused on creating a similar effect in blue. “She can pull off any and every look under the rainbow,” says Tiller who used the Smoky Eye Brick in Royal, the Lid Lustre in Midnight, the Satin Kajal Liner in Black, and the Lip Definer in Shade No. 2. “We always tend to do an eye-focused look which I absolutely adore on her.”

However, for this week’s Glamour Women of the Year Awards, Palermo and Tiller opted for a dramatic cat eye. “Nothing is sexier to me than a smoldering, effortless looking eye,” says Tiller who created the regal look using the Smoky Eye Brick in Royal to create the pop of blue under Palermo’s eye.

As for Tiller’s own go-to party look? “I usually line the eye, smudge the liner, and apply shadow on top of what I’ve smudged, either with my finger or blending brush. Add two to three coats of your favourite volumising mascara and a lash you want the extra drama.” And the pout? “Pair with a nude lip, overlining your lips ever so slightly and voilà!”
