VB Has Found #YourPerfectNude

“I wanted to offer shades that would complement all skin tones,” says Victoria of her Beauty label’s latest release, the Lip Definer. Priced at £18, six shades comprise the collection ensuring, “everyone has their perfect nude.” Having launched the lip collection last week on her whirlwind trip to New York, the story of the lip liner traces its roots back to Victoria’s days in the Spice Girls. “I’ve always said I’m addicted to lip liner and in the Spice Girls, more is more,” laughs Victoria. However, this release dials down the effect with a sophisticated finish to create the perfectly posh pout.

When developing her Lip Definer, Victoria’s goal was to create colours that are representative of a wide spectrum of ages, genders, and skin tones. “I’ve learned so much working with some of the best makeup artists in the industry,” says Victoria. “But what I do know is there are different nudes for different people.” To that end, Victoria and her team worked with makeup artists and tested the shades on a diverse group of women to deliver and ensure the best, most inclusive colours.

The colours range from a pale nude peach (No. 1) to a deep chestnut (No. 6) and contain Vitamin E skin providing conditioning and antioxidant benefits. “I like to keep the lips quite natural in colour making them look full,” says Victoria. Victoria uses shades No. 2 (her perfect natural lip) and No. 3 (her perfect nude pink lip) ideal for day or night. Victoria’s tips on how to wear the lighter shades? “A soft smoky eye, not too heavy and then more of a pink take on a nude lip. I think pink is quite youthful and fresh.”

And what are Victoria’s top tips for achieving the perfect nude lip? “Lightly line with the Lip Definer around the outside of the lip to make them look a bit bigger and then blend in with your finger or a brush. You can sharpen the pencil to a precise point to get a very neat line.” So, what’s #yourperfectnude? Make sure to share your snaps on Instagram and use the hashtag.
