One daily issue facing everyone is what to eat that’s healthy, rich in nutrients, and tasty. Enter one of VB’s favourite snacks in the run-up to London Fashion Week, almond cherryjacks. A riff off the English flapjack—a tray-baked oat bar—this alternative, sourced from Beckham family friend and chef Andrea Rodriquez, contains no sugar, and is an easy-to-make recipe filled with ingredients rich in omega-3's, iron, magnesium. An added bonus? It's a low-fat, low-calorie treat. Delicious meet nutritious.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes (+ cooling time)
Ingredients (serves up to 6):
6 tablespoons sugar-free almond butter
60 grams ground almonds
SweetLeaf Chocolate Sweet Drops — to taste
1 pinch of sea salt
1 vanilla pod with the seeds removed
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
1 egg white
200 grams of pitted and chopped cherries
90 grams of sunflower seeds
90 grams of pumpkin seeds
70 grams of hemp seeds
1 tablespoon of black sesame seeds
1 tablespoon of white sesame seeds
