VB VIP—Eva Longoria Bastón Puts Her Spin on Sophisticated Sunglasses

Eva is one of my greatest friends and there is nothing more incredible than seeing her in my pieces. Eva is an inspiring, strong woman who wears clothes beautifully and I love how she brings them to life in her own distinct way. Below, my team spoke with her stylist about her fashion ethos. VB
“Modern, sophisticated, and sleek,” says stylist and lifestyle journalist Charlene Roxborough of client and friend Eva Longoria Bastón’s style. The duo have been working together for over a decade—“about fourteen years”—and in that time, Roxborough and Bastón have developed and honed in on the actress’s style ethos. “We discuss the events, then choose the best option that suits her silhouette, personality, and style,” says Roxborough. And last week in Los Angeles, Bastón kept things simple from top-to-toe in shades of black.
Bastón was spotted having lunch with friends in Los Angeles and kept things streamlined but peppered her one-note look with directional design details. Her fitted polo neck featured subtle ruching at the bust and sleeves for a modern nod to the 16th century ruffle. Fluid trousers created an elongating effect while platform sandals grounded the look with retro polish.
Adding the final punctuations were a Chanel crossbody bag, diamond stud earrings, and VB tortoiseshell shades. “You feel regal,” exclaims Roxborough on VB’s designs. “I love how each piece from the collection has a clear identity of who the girl is that will be wearing the look.” As for anything she’s dying to get Bastón in next? “A great herringbone suit with a long overcoat!"
